ASHTANGA PRACTICE

Ashtanga yoga is an invigorating and athletic practice that always includes the same series of postures. Brought to the US by K. Pattabhi Jois in the 20th century, Ashtanga is a modern take on classical indian yoga which includes chanting and an increasingly challenging series of postures as the series advances. Classes are primary series, unless otherwise noted.
VINYASA FLOW
Vinyasa Yoga, sometimes referred to as "Flow" is characterized by movement which is synchronized to the breath. One movement often flows into another, expanding the body on the inhale and closing/shrinking the body on the exhale.
GENTLE / RESTORATIVE YOGA
KIDS YOGA
These classes are slower paced and invite the practitioner to take a moment and really get in touch with their body. As the name implies, these classes are more about physical and mental self-care through a mellow practice, frequently using a number of props, than getting a but kicking work out. Great for all ages and especially helpful for relieving stress.
Bring the kids! Teach them respect for their bodies, mind and spirit through invigorating yoga practices that are also a hooting, hollering good time.
QUICKIES
A class that can fit into your lunch hour or can be tacked on to the end of a traditional practice to enhance understanding of specific concepts.
OPEN STUDIO
